I Am A Student Athlete
"The dedication needed to be a successful student athlete can translate into helping you succeed in anything that you choose to do."
The college experience can be the experience of a lifetime. It's kind of like high school, only a lot better. When you get to college, you are on your own and free to do whatever you please. No parents telling you when and where to go, or when to be home.
But going to college also brings responsibilities. If you take a look at YoYo Greenfield's weekly schedule, you see that "free time" doesn't necessarily come around that often. So being a student athlete requires you to learn "time management". But time management is only half of it. Dedication is the other half.
YoYo's schedule may be what a lot of student athlete's schedules look like, but how many of them are dedicated enough to stick to them? It is demanding and rigorous to do so, but it's important to remember that it's worth it. Learning how to manage a schedule like this is the key to being successful.
Not many people can handle the demands of being a student athlete. Which is why it means a lot to those who have dedicated themselves and earned the right and privilege to say, "I am a student athlete". The dedication needed to be a successful student athlete can translate into helping you succeed in anything that you choose to do.
So there may not be a lot of room for YoYo to have free time, but that doesn't mean she isn't enjoying her time. Reaching her goals through hard work is very satisfying. With her schedule, similar to that of most student athletes in America, she is paving her own path to success and is having fun doing it.
